No. There's no sign-up, no email, no account. You set a master password on first launch and unlock with Face ID or Touch ID after that.

Open Settings → Import and choose your source. Auther reads 1Password, Bitwarden, and standard CSV exports, and pulls your two-factor secrets in at the same time.

Tap the + button and choose "2FA code," then scan the QR code from the website or paste the setup key. The code appears both on the matching login and in the Codes tab.

Auther syncs through your own iCloud with end-to-end encryption. Sign into the same Apple ID on both devices and enable iCloud sync in Settings — your vault stays current everywhere.

Yes. Your vault is end-to-end encrypted before it ever leaves your device, so it travels and rests encrypted. Neither Apple nor we can read it. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. iCloud sync is optional. Turn it off and your data never leaves the device it was created on.

Because Auther never stores your master password, there is no reset link and we cannot recover it for you. If you saved your Recovery Kit when you set up the app, use it to regain access. Without either, your vault cannot be unlocked — this is a deliberate security property.

A one-time recovery code generated during setup. It's your only backup way into the vault if you forget your master password. Store it somewhere safe and offline.

Auther uses "Have I Been Pwned" with k-anonymity — only the first five characters of a password's hash are sent, never the password itself. The check runs only when you ask for it.

Unlimited passwords and 2FA codes, iCloud sync, autofill, and the generator are free forever. Auther Pro unlocks breach alerts, extra item types, multiple vaults, and travel mode.

Open device Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Auther, then cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; your Pro features stay active until the current period ends. See our Terms of Use.

Open Settings → Manage Plan → Restore Purchase. As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID, your subscription is restored.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so refunds are handled through Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com — we don't process payments directly.
